Milan, October 2, 2024 – Today, ANCI Lombardia hosted the training workshop “We Can Do It! How to Manage a Report”, focusing on the newly introduced whistleblowing regulations for public control entities under Legislative Decree No. 24/2023.
The event brought together a diverse group of professionals, including managers and human resource officers, to explore the practical application of the new regulations and their integration with existing reporting systems established under Law 190/2012.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with the tools and skills necessary to effectively manage internal reports of violations, ensuring that whistleblowers receive the protection they need when reporting irregularities. Attendees participated in interactive simulations, confronting real-world scenarios they may face in their organizations, fostering a deeper understanding of best practices in report handling.
The day’s agenda blended theoretical learning with group activities, featuring practical exercises that encouraged dialogue and collaboration among participants. Industry experts Ermelindo Lungaro, Valeria Vergine, and Andrea Ferrarini led the sessions, offering valuable insights and highlighting best practices to enhance integrity and transparency in public sector organizations.
This workshop is part of the broader SAFE-IN project, which is funded by the European Union’s Anti-Fraud Programme. SAFE-IN aims to strengthen efforts against fraud and promote compliance with the EU Whistleblowing Directive. Transparency International Italia also contributed to the event, represented by Giorgio Fraschini and Alessia Rizzo, sharing their expertise on the importance of whistleblower protection in ensuring accountability and fighting corruption.
