At the ANCI Lombardia, the first in-person training workshop on whistleblowing management for Public Administrations has begun.
The workshop, titled “We Can Do It! How to Manage a Report”, explores practical and interactive methods for effectively handling reports of wrongdoing within organizations.
This initiative is part of the SAFE-IN project (Strengthening Actions Against Fraud: Empowering Whistleblowing Directive Compliance), promoted by ANCI Lombardia in collaboration with Transparency International Italia and funded by the European Union’s Anti-Fraud Program. It is an ambitious project aimed at strengthening compliance with the Whistleblowing Directive by providing concrete tools to address reports and ensure protection for whistleblowers.
The training program aims to develop advanced knowledge, innovative intervention models, and best practices for the application of Legislative Decree No. 24/2023 on whistleblowing, with the goal of promoting a culture of integrity within Public Administrations. Special attention is given to ensuring the protection of whistleblowers, integrating the new regulations with existing reporting systems established under Law 190/2012, concerning anti-corruption and transparency.
Among the speakers from ANCI Lombardia were Ermelindo Lungaro (Project Specialist), Valeria Vergine (Expert in Regulatory Compliance), Andrea Ferrarini (Expert on Ethics Training Implementation), and Arianna Ferrari (Project Manager Assistant). Representing Transparency International Italia were Giorgio Fraschini, Whistleblowing Program Manager, and Alessia Rizzo, Whistleblowing Assistant.
📅 Next meeting: Monday, October 7th, 2024, at the Città Metropolitana di Milano. We look forward to continuing this important training journey!
