ANALYSIS OF THE LEGISLATION IMPLEMENTING THE EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE ON WHISTLEBLOWING

Transparency International Italia reports that it has analyzed and compared the legislative text of the articles outlined in the European Directive No. 1937/2019 on #whistleblowing with the Italian legislation regulated by Legislative Decree No. 24/2023 on the protection of whistleblowers.

Some discrepancies and violations in the Italian implementation of the Directive have been identified, along with some areas where the new law is weaker than the pre-existing Italian law.
